Telecommunications Network Technician

The Telecommunications Network Technician serves as a technical operations field representative to our customers in installing and maintaining voice and data products. Provides support for the installation, modification, testing and servicing of voice and/or data communication/ telecommunication equipment. Systems include: PBX, VoIP solutions, Call Center, and all other peripheral and ancillary equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Configures and installs routers and switches for analog and digital voice and data telecommunications equipment
including PBX systems, VoIP solutions, and peripherals.
 Employ appropriate troubleshooting techniques for analog and digital voice and data problems.
 Provides move/add/change (MAC) support working directly from service orders, circuit diagrams and schematics
in one or more product lines.
 Ensure front-line customer satisfaction by dealing professionally and effectively with all internal and external
customers.
 Provide rotating 24 hour on-call coverage as needed.
 Maintains required records and documentation.
 Additional responsibilities and duties as position requires

Job Requirements

 2+ years of industry experience and/or certification in Telecommunications from an accredited vocational
program.
 Solid technical knowledge of cabling and cross-connection required.
 Experience with various products such as, Avaya, Cisco, PBX Gateway, Systemax and ADC Krone experience
preferred.
 Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills.
 Must have valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites.
 May be required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
 PC proficiency with MS Office experience preferred.

Senior Telecommunications Network Specialist

The Senior Telecommunications Network Specialist serves as the lead technical operations field representative to our customers in installing and maintaining voice and data products. Responsible for the installation, modification, testing and servicing of voice and/or data communication/ telecommunication equipment. Systems include: PBX, VoIP solutions, Call Center, and all other peripheral and ancillary equipment.

Key Responsibilities

 Install analog and digital voice and data telecommunications equipment including PBX systems, VoIP solutions, and
peripherals.
 Employ appropriate troubleshooting techniques for analog and digital voice and data problems.
 Ensure front-line customer satisfaction by dealing professionally and effectively with all internal and external
customers.
 Provide rotating 24 hour on-call coverage as needed.
 Receive, plan and prioritize jobs/work orders for team of Technicians on a daily basis
 Submit all paperwork associated with jobs including: time spent per activity, equipment used, services provided,
mileage logs, installation forms, site surveys and weekly expense reports for self and team.
 Additional responsibilities and duties as position requires.

Job Requirements

 Significant years of industry experience and/or Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or
Telecommunications..
 5+ years of supervisory and/or lead experience required.
 Solid technical knowledge of product systems required.
 Ability to handle projects at a complex level and serve as project lead to other technicians.
 Avaya , Cisco, PBX Gateway, Systemax and ADC Krone experience and/or certifications preferred.
Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills.
